Kamakura is one of the most popular destination when foreigners visit Tokyo.
Even though Kamakura is not in Tokyo, but many popular prefer to visit
Kamakura is about 1 hour ride on JR train from Shinjuku.

There are many temples, shrines, and other historical places in Kamakura.

 

KAMAKURA BRONZE BUDDAH

Kamakura bronze buddah statue is one of the most famous spot.
The buddah statue is height of 11.4 meters, and it is second tallest bronze buddah in JAPAN.
This Kamakura bronze buddah is located about 10 minute walk from Hase station, and Hase station is third stop from Kamakura station by Enoden railway.

 

HASE TEMPLE and HYDRANGEA

There are many temples in Kamakura.
Hase temple is famous for flower,
It is also known as hydrangea temple.

When hydrangea blooms(in JUNE), there will be full of people in here.
But it still is worth to go there.
Hase temple is located about 10 minute walk from Hase station.

 

 

SHOPS and EAT

Another place you must to go, is “KOMACHI street”.
Komachi street is where people shop and eat.
There are so many cafes and shops along the street.

“Hato sable” is most popular souvenir in Kamakura.
It is buiscuit shaped like a pigeon.
